Tribe Loses in State Title Game
Written by Staff Report
2022-11-18

Upper Perkiomen's bid for a state championship ended Friday. Despite scoring first, the team couldn't contend with Moon Area's unrelenting pressure.

Two second half goals lifted the Tigers to 2-1 victory in the PIAA Class 3A girls soccer title game at Eagle Middle School in Mechanicsburg. Hailey Longwell and Sydney Felton scored to secure conservative state title and a perfect season.

Megan Cairns scored for the Indians (25-1-1) who absorbed their first loss of the season in the program's initial appearance in a state title game. Ava Long registered 15 saves.
