Ashlyn Gatto extended the season for the Upper Perkiomen field hockey team. Her overtime goal Tuesday night lifted the team to a 2-1 victory over Bishop Shanahan in the District One Class 2A Tournament.

            Abby Rodenberger also scored in a playback game at Keeny Stadium for the Indians (14-6), who rallied from a 3-2 loss at West Chester East in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, Oct. 27. Jess Traynor and Julia Traynor each notched an assist.

            Emma Lajaenuse stopped 12 of the 13 shots she faced for the No. 5 Tribe, which will host No. 10 seed Merion Mercy at 4 p.m. Thursday with the district's fifth and final berth in the PIAA Championships on the line.

            Four days earlier, Upper Perkiomen lost 3-2 to the Vikings, seeded No. 4. Jess Traynor scored both the team's goals in the fourth quarter with the team trailing 3-0.

            Her first goal, the 50^th of her career, came early in the quarter on a penalty corner. The senior added an unassisted goal with 1:31 remaining.
