The Upper Perk Braves are on a roll after winning four straight games. On Monday, they registered a 3-0 victory over Daniel Boone in the Berks County Youth Legion League. The following day, they were awarded a forfeit win over Wyomissing.
In the win over Daniel Boone, Kyle Mazzie tossed a complete-game, three-hit shutout. He registered six strikeouts. Brayden Adam and Owen Wilson each posted two hits.
Upper Perk, which opened its season with a 14-1 win over Muhlenberg on June 4 before losing 8-5 to the Boyertown Bear-Cubs two days later, posted league victories over West Lawn on June 8 and Lower Macungie three days later by the identical score of 7-2.
Cole Pierce registered 11 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of relief to earn the victory against the Owls. Brody Weiss and Kyle Mazzie each delivered two hits for the Braves (5-1 league, 8-2 overall).
On June 11, Williams' three-run triple sparked the Braves' victory over Lower Macungie. Evan Sands finished with two hits, including a double. Adam added a triple.
