Ernest “Ernie” L. Eck
2022-04-18

            Ernest "Ernie" L. Eck, 75, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at

Columbia Cottage in Collegeville.

            Born in Barto, Ernie was the son of the late Theodore R. Eck and Edna Y. (Schoenly) Eck.

            Ernest worked as a custodian for Quaker Maid Meats and then went on to work as a shuttle bus driver for Tower Health, which was formerly Reading Hospital.

            In his free time, Ernie excelled at woodworking, making wooden cars and puzzles.

            Ernie is survived by one sister, Kathryn A. Latshaw, and her husband, Daniel as well as several nieces and nephews and their children. He was predeceased by a brother, Ted Eck.

            The family wishes to thank Caring Hospice for the care and comfort that they showed to Ernie.

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caring Hospice at 400 Commerce Dr. Fort Washington, PA 19034.

            Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave Boyertown, PA 19512. A memorial service for Ernest will be held immediately following at 11a.m.  Burial will be private.
