Linda J. Barndt-Tyson and David P. Barndt
2022-02-21

            Linda J. Barndt-Tyson, 69, and David P. Barndt, 64, sister and brother, both of Red Hill, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Both born in Sellersville, they were the children of the late Orvis and Dorothy J. (Hinkle) Barndt.

            Linda was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and was employed at Peter Becker Retirement Community. She enjoyed going to the Boyertown YMCA , cooking and crocheting and she loved animals.

            David was also a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and was employed at Brown Printing, Kwik Goal and lastly, R & J Apparel Distributor. He was a member of Finland Mennonite Church in Pennsburg.

            Surviving them are two sisters, Beverly King and Barbara Mackelvey; three nieces and one nephew. They are predeceased by a brother, Kenny Barndt.

            A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A burial will follow in Finland Mennonite Cemetery, Pennsburg. There will be no calling hour.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda's name to the Cat Shack Animal Shelter, PO Box 950 Trexlertown, PA 18087 and in David's name to The Upper Perkiomen Valley Lions Club, Inc. at PO Box 94, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
