Marie E. Bechtel
2022-01-19

            Marie E. Bechtel, 86, of Harleysville, PA, formerly of Quakertown,

PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 17, 2022 with family by her side.

            She was born on November 1, 1935 in Dublin, PA to J. Arthur and Grace C. (Megary) Moyer.

            Marie was the beloved wife of Raymond S. Bechtel and recently celebrated 67 years of wedded bliss. She was a loving mother to her children, Laurie, Julie, Joel and Lisa.

            Marie will be remembered for bedtime prayers and songs, her dislike of all foods ending in "i", her devotion to pray for loved ones, for opening her to others, and her love for playing the piano.

            Marie was preceded in death by her mother Grace Moyer and father J. Arthur Moyer; sisters Grace Moyer and Ruth Tyson; brothers Harley Moyer, David Moyer, and Howard Moyer; sister-in-laws Margaret Moyer and Alice Moyer; and two infant brothers.

            Marie is survived by her husband, Raymond S. Bechtel; four children, Laureen (W. Bruce) Davison, Newark, DE, Juleen (James) Hagar, Quakertown, PA, Joel (Rachael) Bechtel, Harleysville, PA, and Lisa (Sean) Carroll, Beaver, PA; eleven grandchildren; Raymond J. Davison of Melbourne, FL, Morgan G. (Ben) Kutz, Macungie, PA, Brian W. (Sarah) Davison, Abington, PA, Colton J. Hagar, North Wales, PA, Katherine G. (Nick) Crisco, New Brighton, PA, Holly M. (Daniel) Moyer, East Greenville, PA, Lucas N. Carroll, Montgomery, AL, Ridge W. (Karissa) Hagar, LaFargeville, NY, Brandon P. Bechtel, King of Prussia, PA, Brooke E. Bechtel and Ariana J. Bechtel of Harleysville, PA; five great grandchildren, Homer, Tristan, Mavis, Blythe, and Malia along with many nieces and nephews.

            Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life held at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), PA on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Visitation will take place from 1:30 p.m.-3p.m. followed by a service. Interment will be at Zion Memorial Gardens in Telford, PA.
