This past week 18 law enforcement agencies partnered together in two separate "Shop With a Cop" events to   bring a merry Christmas to 260 children.

On Thursday night the Quakertown Police Department conducted its 11th annual event using $65,000 raised by the local community and businesses.

Sunday morning officers from Upper Perk, East Greenville and Marlborough Township gathered at the Walmart in Upper Hanover Township. Sixteen children were partnered with the officers to shop and then were treated to a holiday party and visit with Santa. Each participant also received a Christmas meal to take home. All families involved received a full Christmas meal.

The following organizations helped make the Upper Perk event possible: Upper Perk Police Officers Association, Walmart, Weis Market, Marlborough Twp. Police, East Greenville Police, Lower Pottsgrove Twp Police, Hatfield Meats / Clemens Family Corp., Upper Perkiomen School District Staff, Chario's (Green Lane) community donors and Secret Santas.
