Upper Perk BPW Presents Woman of the Year and Employer of the Year Recognition

The Upper Perkiomen Business and Professional Women's Club on Monday night presented its top recognition awards of the year.

Danielle Kates was honored with the club's 2021 Woman of the Year Award.

ReCurve Boutique in Pennsburg received the 2021 Employer of the Year Award. ReCurve Boutique is owned and operated by Ann Campbell and LaCoyia Campbell.

Danielle joined BPW in 2015 and has been a vital part of the group. Danielle is currently the Frontier Girl Liaison, and also on the audit committee. Danielle was also the Nominations Committee Chair and served on the Expo Committee for several years. Danielle is always there to help with activities such as fundraisers and First Monday Meal. She steps up and takes on any task, even when she is down an arm after having surgery on her shoulder.

Furthermore, Danielle is more than a member of the Upper Perk BPW; she is dedicated to her family and community. She has been married for 31 years to her adoring husband, John, and is the proud mother of two daughters, Myrisa and Kalyn. Danielle graduated from Harcum College where she attained a degree in interior design. She is now a successful business owner of Design Intervention by Danielle, LLC and won several awards, including the coveted CotY award.

Danielle is also very present in her community, as a girl scout leader, president of the Valley Soccer club, charter president of the rotary club of Upper Perk, past board member and current member of NARI and NKBA.

ReCurve Boutique opened in September 2020 on Quakertown Avenue in Pennsburg. Soon after, they added Natalie Trumbore to their team. ReCurve is not just a plus-size consignment and resale shop. These ladies are passionate in creating an environment to make every woman, at any size, have the self-confidence they deserve. They truly believe that women should not be limited in their style, fashion or self-expression.

When visiting ReCurve Boutique, you are instantly greeted by big smiles and lots of laughter. It is not unusual to see friends gathered, enjoying each other's company and sharing a cup of coffee. There are body positive quotes placed throughout and the women are happy to help you feel your best. As well as clothing the store offers shoes, purses, jewelry, and outerwear. Ann and Coyia are also excited to carry locally made soaps, candles, art and other self-care products.

Ann and Coyia have a passion for the Upper Perkiomen community and want to see it thrive. They built ReCurve Boutique to be a warm, welcoming, judgement-free boutique to celebrate all women.
