month, the organization awarded Peg Pennepacker the Thomas E. Frederick Award of Excellence.
Pennepacker, a Red Hill resident, serves as a National Faculty member for the legal issues courses for the organization. She has taught the courses annually at the National Athletic Directors Conference, according to information provided by the NIAAA.
She retired from a 36-year career in public education in 2017. Pennepacker spent 26 years in athletic administration. Her final stint as an athletic director came at State College Area High School in State College.
As the organization's Title IX course national chairperson, she has presented many clinics and sessions on the subject. She has presented workshops at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association (PSADA) Summer Academies and the PSADA annual conference, as well as Sport Law workshops in concurrence with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and the Pennsylvania Business Administrators Organization.
At the state level, Pennepacker serves on the PSADA Executive Council as a Title IX consultant and on the PSADA Professional Development Committee. In addition, she was selected to serve on the Advisory Board of ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators) in 2014 in order to provide a K-12 perspective to the organization.
