Lucy was born in East Greenville, she went to East Greenville High School and graduated from Boston University.
She was formerly married to Andrew S. Berky, headmaster of Perkiomen School.
As an active member of the community, Lucy worked for Dr. P. Kistler at Tri-Valley until the age of 80. She was also a founder of Palm Country Day School, a board member of Women's Club and of the Lower Milford Library, and a member of the Great Books Society.
She loved traveling and lived in Lesotho, Africa for a year where she worked with Save the Children.
Lucy was very proud of her Pennsylvania German heritage and all who visited got a lesson in local history, a tour of the old Hosensack property and a baked dessert to sample.
There are no services planned at this time.
She will be greatly missed.
