Shockers Take First at Tournament
2020-08-19

            The 11U PA Shockers, based in Quakertown, won the "1st Annual August Pitch Classic" on Aug. 16 at the Lehigh Township Athletic Association (LTAA) Fields.

            The team, which includes Upper Perkiomen valley residents Lucas Hoch and Alex Bender, went 4-0. Pictured above, top row: Coach Steve Hickey, Trent Lutz, Carson Glose, Gavin Wisnoski, Andrew Padmanabhan, Brett Pollock, Coach Frank Pollock, Alex Bender, Charlie Keith. Bottom Row: Justin Bieler, Justin Murray, Ryan Clarke, Lucas Hoch, Ethan Konyak. 

            The Shockers defeated the Bucks Country Generals twice, the Northeast Titans, and the LVBA Prospects for the championship. In the decisive 10-0 victory, Wisnoski went the distance on the mound, striking out nine. He also delivered a home run. Clarke, Murray, and Hoch also registered extra base hits during the game.
