Bowling Record Set at East Greenville
Written by Larry Roeder, Editor
2020-03-18

A new state record was set on the bowling lanes of the East Greenville Fire Company last month during the organization's 26th Annual Mixed Double's Tournament.

Shannon Quick, left, rolled a three-game total of 793 and

Brent Frisch, right, of Bethlehem added a three-game

total of 845 for a total of 1638 to win the tournament

and capture a state record.

Shannon Quick of Phillipsburg, NJ bowled a three-game total of 793 and Brent Frisch of Bethlehem, PA added a three-game total of 845 for a total of 1638 – good enough for the tournament win and the state honor.

The score could also end up among the elite in the nation.

According to East Greenville Fire Company President Joe Adam, Sr., this year's mixed double's tournament was the largest to date for the fire company. The United States Bowling Congress sanctioned tournament was held over five Saturdays in February, with 240 teams participating.

Adams said that among the bowlers this year were competitors from Maryland, New Jersey, ad South Carolina.
