School Bus Driver Injured in Crash

            The female driver of a school bus involved in a crash at 8:14 a.m. 

Wednesday in Marlborough Township suffered non-life threating injuries. The bus, carrying nine fourth and fifth grade students, was traveling southwest on Swamp Creek Road when the driver swerved to avoid a deer between Knockle and Payne roads.

            The vehicle, which left the road, struck two trees and absorbed heavy front end damage, according to municipal authorities. The female driver was transported by Harleysville Ambulance to Grandview Hospital.

            Two children were checked at the scene and released. They will be evaluated by the staff Upper Perkiomen's 4th & 5th Grade Center, according to a township police officer.
