The Lower Frederick Police Department is investigating two criminal incidents of theft in the Spring Mount Village section of the township. At approximately 2 a.m. on March 6, Off. Stephen Rinker and Cpl. Dave Milligan responded to a report of a stolen white Mazda CX-5 in the 100 block of Goshen Road.
At the same time, officers began receiving calls for numerous thefts of wallets, purses, cash, loose change, and electronic devices from vehicles parked at multiple addresses on Goshen Road, Laureen Road, Zieglerville Road, Grimley Road, and Village Drive. Local authorities responded to more than 20 reported incidents, according to information provided by the department.

A concerned resident observed the suspects at around 3 a.m. and followed the vehicle out of Spring Mount Village and north on Route 29 before losing sight the vehicle, which fled the vehicle at a high rate of speed, according to law enforcement officials.

According to police, the stolen white Mazda CX-5 has been recovered.
