A portion of the brick wall and parapit at 10 Fourth St. in Pennsburg came down on Friday
afternoon. The building has been closed since it was evacuated on Feb. 26.

Around 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, fire and police officials were dispatched to the corner of Pottstown Ave. and Fourth St. in Pennsburg after a portion of the brick façade of the of the two-story building at 10 Fourth St. in Pennsburg came down.
The area was fenced off due to a previous incident and no injuries were reported and nobody was in the building at the time.
The building, currently occupied by Eldon Design Associates, Inc. was forced to be evacuated on Feb. 26 after an employee of the company discovered small pieces of brick on the sidewalk and, after inspection, borough code enforcement officer Anthony Campbell determined that a portion of the north wall was in danger of collapsing.
Fourth St. has been blocked from Pottstown Ave. to West Side Alley in Pennsburg.
