Frances C. Bittenbender
2018-12-10

            Frances C. Bittenbender, 72, of East Greenville, passed away December

6, 2018 in Pennsburg Manor. She was the widow of Dale O. Bittenbender. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Madeline (Fritz) Buckner.

            Frances began her career as a cafeteria lady for the Upper Perkiomen School District for 12 years.  She then worked for the former Red Hill Financial for 6 years.  She retired from Grand View Hospital after 18 years, and then worked part time at Walmart. 

            She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pennsburg, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a Band & Sports Booster when her sons were in school, a member of the Upper Perk Senior Center, and a former member of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle.

            Surviving are sons: Anthony and his wife, Juanita, William and Russell; and her beloved grandchildren: Austin, Samantha, Aven, and Gezhia, and step grandchildren: Courtney and Brandon.

            Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2 PM at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg.  Interment will follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg.

            In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to an animal shelter of your choice.
