Richard R. Fronheiser
2018-12-10

            Richard R. Fronheiser, 84, of Pennsburg, passed away Thursday, December 

6, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. He was the loving husband of Louise H. (Hammerle) Fronheiser.

            Born in Barto, he was one of ten children of the late Lawrence and Marie (Melcher) Fronheiser.

            He was a 1953 graduate of Boyertown High School, proudly served in the United States Army for two years and then became a production worker for Occidental Chemical Corporation in Pottstown for many years before retiring.

            Richard was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg and the Pottstown/Sanatoga American Legion Post 244. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

            Surviving along with his wife of 60 years, are his three sons, Kevin A. Fronheiser and wife, Brenda, Dean R. Fronheiser and Joseph B. Fronheiser and wife, Michelle; four grandchildren, Stacy, wife of Randy Pursel, Ryan Fronheiser and fiancé, Amanda Roberts, Sydney Fronheiser and Casey Fronheiser; three great-grandchildren, Analeigh, Lily and Hunter Pursel; three brothers, Robert, George and Charlie Fronheiser; and a sister, Anna Wary.

            He is predeceased by five brothers, Leo, Paul, John, Ed and Carl Fronheiser.

            A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating.

            Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to the services. A burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
