Paula "Elayne" Mansfield Vanderhoeven, 74, of Winter Haven, FL, passed
away on Sunday October 14, 2018 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Terry Vanderhoeven.
Born in San Diego, CA she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ernestine Peterson.
She graduated from Carlsbad High School and attended Oceanside Carlsbad Junior College.
Elayne and her family moved to Pennsburg in 1979 where she was active in the community. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School. She was also active with the PTFS for many years. Her favorite pastimes were travelling and spending time with her family.
She worked at Indian Creek Foundation as a Resident Advisor and later at Kohl's Department Stores. She eventually retired to Florida.
Surviving along with husband are daughter, Kathy Reck and her fiancé Scott Jabs, of Barto; son Bill Mansfield and his wife Kristin, of Marietta, PA,; daughter Aricia Sloyer and her husband Ryan of East Greenville; daughter Jennifer Jeon and her husband Mike of Valley Village, CA; son Glenn Mansfield and his wife Casey of Davenport, Florida; sister Mary Kay Harmon and her husband Jim of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren Justin Sloyer, Felicia Sloyer, Cortney Reck, Kevin Jabs, Zakary Reck, Alexis Sloyer, Allison Mansfield, Peyton Mansfield, Ella Jeon, Noel Mansfield, Sophia Jeon, and Kaylee Mansfield and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a future date.
