William “Bill” L. Bender
2018-07-26

            William "Bill" L. Bender, 38, of East Greenville, passed away Monday, July 23,

2018.  He was the loving husband of Megan (Camp) Bender, sharing 14 years of marriage together, and the dedicated, fun and loving father of his four children, Logan Curley, Brielle Bender, Hailey Bender and Alex Bender.

            Born in Lansdale, he was the son of LaMont and Donna (Bucci) Bender of East Greenville.

            Bill was a 1998 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and earned an associate degree at Northampton Community College. He was currently working at SEPTA in Philadelphia where he had been a supervisor for the past three months. Prior to that, he worked for Valley Auto Group in Pennsburg as a technician for 22 years.

            Surviving along with his wife, children and parents are a brother, Anthony Bender and wife, JoAnna of East Greenville;  sister, Gina, wife of Louis Banta of Schwenksville; maternal grandfather, Anthony Bucci of Green Lane; Mother and Father-in-law, Debra and Francis Camp of Hereford; brother-in-law, Francis Camp, Jr. and wife, Alicia of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.

            A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing the evening before on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 and again Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to SUDC Foundation, 549 Pompton Ave., Suite 197, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.
