A pair of ninth graders led Upper Perkiomen to a 7-1 victory over Nazareth Academy on Wednesday in the opening round of District One Class 4A playoffs.

            Jenna Sullivan, the team's leadoff hitter and right fielder, stole two bases, scored two runs and threw out an opposing runner at second base attempting to advance on an errant throw in the second inning.

            Sierra Fretz delivered a solo home run for the Indians (16-4), who advanced to next Wednesday's title game.

            Morgan Lindsay, Taylor Lindsay and Alyssa Sullivan each posted for the defending districts champions. The team scored in five of its six innings at bat. Alyssa Sullivan moved within two hits of 100 for her career.
