Claude Y. Barndt
Claude Y. Barndt 95, of Franconia Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to the late Dorothy (Kissel) Barndt who died in 2017.
Born in Argus, PA, he was a son of the late Flora (Yerk) and John B. Barndt, Sr.
A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, he attained the rank of Corporal while serving from 1944-1945.
Claude was employed as an assembler for the former Hunter Spring Company of Lansdale for many years prior to his retirement.
Mr. Barndt was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley. Claude enjoyed traveling and camping for over 27 years, with a favorite destination being Lancaster, PA. He also liked taking bus trips and attending country music shows.
He is survived by two sisters: Grace Grater and her husband Paul of Red Hill, and Edna Rosenberger of Quakertown. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Dorothy, John, Paul, Wilmer, Arlene, Esther, Steward, Harold, Marvin, and Gladys.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11 AM in St. John's Lutheran Church, 910 Allentown Road, Sellersville, PA. 18960. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church at the above address.
