He was also a life member of Bally, Bechtelsville and Sassamansville Fire Companies.  He enjoyed restoring and showing his collection of tractors and belonged to the East Central PA Two Cylinder Club and Pikeville Rod and Gun Club.

Karl also loved his cabin in Wellsboro where he would spend time four wheeling with his grandchildren, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Stacey L., wife of Edward T. Miller, of Boyertown; grandchildren: Karlynn and Jacob Miller; brother, Lee, husband of Jean Latshaw, of Sassamansville and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Earl Latshaw and Esther Derr.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary UCC, 1231 Rt. 100, Barto, PA 19504 on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 am.  Officiating will be Rev. Linda L. Kozlowski and Rev. Elmer B. Reinhold. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be private.
