Grand View Health Joins Penn Cancer Network
2018-03-15

Grand View Health (Grand View) announced today that it has joined the Penn Cancer Network, part of Penn Medicine, to provide greater expertise and access to subspecialty care for patients in its region.

"This membership in the Penn Cancer Network will greatly expand our ability to bring the most advanced care to the region we serve. In addition, our physicians will have access to Penn's extensive clinical research and professional education opportunities. Our patients and our community will benefit most from this affiliation with the renowned Penn Cancer Network whose clinical strengths will complement the excellent care our patients already receive locally at Grand View," said Jean M. Keeler, Esq., President and Chief Executive Officer, Grand View Health.

"No matter where patients with cancer live, we want to help them access the best possible treatment for their unique disease," said Robert Vonderheide, MD, DPhil, director of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. "The Penn Cancer Network enables our team in the Abramson Cancer Center to work closely with physicians at Grand View Health to help patients evaluate and access every option that might be right for them, including participation in clinical trials or undergoing advanced diagnostic testing, surgery, and radiation techniques."

In addition to expanded provider access and a convenient patient referral program, Penn Cancer Network also offers Grand View enhanced patient and community education capabilities and assistance in planning for the community's future needs for cancer services. The membership in Penn Cancer Network becomes effective March 1, 2018.
