Trails at Green Lane Park Test Runners in 10k Event

Second Annual Event Held last Saturday

 

            Runners leave the start-finish line Saturday morning as they take part in the second annual Friends of Green Lane Park Triple-Dam Run.  The race is a 10k out-and-back trail run withing the boundaries of Green Lane Park.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            The run traversed trails from Deep Creek Lake up to the Reservoir.  Here, runners cross a causway that links Deep Creek and Knight Lakes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            Runners ascend the hill between Gravel Pike and the Green Lane Dam in Marlborough Township. About 90 runners  took part in the event on a course that featured a total of 1,100-feet of elevation change.
