Robert M. Niedzwiecki
2017-12-11

            Robert M. Niedzwiecki, 59, of Red Hill, passed away Thursday, December

7, 2017 in York, PA. He was the husband of Marie A. (Gaughan) Niedzwiecki, celebrating 36 years of marriage in May.

            Born in Pottsville, PA, he was a son of the late Chester S. and Sophia (Cooper) Niedzwiecki.

            Robert was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School and attended four years at McCann School of Business. He was currently employed with Travelers Insurance as a Premium Auditor since 1981.

            He also was a volunteer paramedic for Upper Perk Ambulance since 1986 where he served as Deputy Chief for many years and served as a Red Hill Fire Policeman He was also a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg.

            Robert was a collector of Lionel trains and loved John Wayne westerns, Star Trek, Snoopy, Indi Car Racing and watching football with his friend Josh.

            Surviving along with his wife, are his two daughters, Elizabeth A., wife of Patrick Stonewall of Hereford, PA and Sara M., wife of Chris Gillander of Pottstown, PA; his granddaughter, Amelia G. Stonewall; sisters, Ann "Jean", wife of George Shimko of Frackville, PA, Maryann Miller of Morea, PA and Barbara Schweitzer of Honesdale, PA; his brother, Chester Niedzwiecki and wife, Doris of Orwigsburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, John Niedzwiecki.

            A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
