Joseph A. Straka
2017-12-07

            Joseph A. Straka, 75, of East Greenville, PA, passed away Wednesday,

December 6, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Eileen J. (Hill) Straka celebrating 51 years of marriage in February.

            Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son to the late Augustine and Beatrice (Lindenmuth) Straka.

            Joseph was a 1961 graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia and worked for the former Philadelphia Electric Company for 37 years as a control room operator until his retirement.

            He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church in Pennsburg.

            Surviving along with his wife, are his two daughters, Darlene L., wife of Joseph Repholz of East Greenville and Faith-Ann, wife of Dana Palermo of East Greenville; five grandchildren, Nicholas and wife, Liz, Dominic, Matthew, Hope and Jacob; and his three brothers, John Straka and wife, Joan of Warminster, Robert Straka and wife, Diane of Florida and David Straka and wife, Liz of North Wales.

            A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Community Baptist Church, 1685 Upper Ridge Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Pastor David A. Smith officiating. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

            Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA. Share memories and offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Community Baptist Church Building Fund at the above address.
