Joan M. McKeown
2017-12-04

      Joan M. (Welch) McKeown, 75, widow of James J. McKeown, of Hatfield, passed away on November 29, 2017 at Abington Hospice in Warminster.

      Born in Sellersville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Ethel M. (Sine) Welch.

      Joan was a waitress at Horn & Hardart Restaurant for 23 years and volunteered with Generations Senior Center for 6 years.

      Joan was a loving sister, aunt and great aunt and will be missed her siblings, Margaret, wife of William McNally, Thomas Welch and wife, Colleen, Kathleen, wife of Tony Alessi, Layne, wife of Gerry Wireman and Thomas Rainey Welch and wife, Nicole; nieces, Kimberly Dombrowski, Jennifer, wife of Joseph Ritter, Catherine, wife of Michael Kern; nephews, William McNally, Anthony Alessi, Stephen Welch and wife, Holly, Anthony Regan and Michael McCoy; and great nieces and nephews, Tyler and Madison Dombrowski, Victoria Tanna and William McNally.

      Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.

      Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory in honor of Carl Wenzel, DO to Abington Hospice at Warminster, Abington Health Foundation, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001.
