Minnie K. Lagler
2017-10-30

            Minnie K. (Butz) Lagler, 85, widow of Franklin T. Lagler, of Palm, passed

away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown, PA.

            Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Cleaver) Butz.

            Minnie worked for the former Stauffer Glove Co. in Red Hill as a sewing machine operator for 30 years. Prior to that, she worked at Cleaver Egg, Butter and Poultry in Palm for many years. She retired from Columbia Tape in Red Hill.

            She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Zionsville.

            She enjoyed, sewing, baking and cooking.

            Surviving are her children, Marion Harpel of Macungie, Kathleen, wife of Larry Richard of Red Hill, Dennis Lagler and wife, Susan of Emmaus and Donna, wife of Keith Schantz of East Greenville; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

            In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Margaret Butz.

            A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with the Rev. Robin Roman officiating.  Burial follows in church cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 am prior to the service.             In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Minnie's memory to Salem United Methodist Church, 6440 Powder Valley Road, Zionsville, PA 18092 and Stahl's Pottery Preservation Society, PO Box 154, Hereford, PA  18056.
