Ronald R. Freed
2017-10-04

            Ronald Richard Freed, 77, of Spinnerstown, passed away October 4, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Judith (Warwick) Freed.  Born in Spinnerstown, he was a son of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Miller) Freed.

            Ron began his career as a 6th grade teacher in the Quakertown School District.  He later became a principal in the district for 30 years.  He was a member of Trinity (Great Swamp) UCC, Spinnerstown where he was a past Consistory president and cemetery committee member.  He was a past member of the Quakertown Jaycees.  

            Ron was the Bucks County Coordinator of the Blue Bird Society of Pennsylvania, and a co-creator of the Pecks Pond Watch. He was a member of the Milford Township Historical Society.

            Surviving with his wife, Judy, are children:  Chad Freed, of Norwood, PA; and Susan Freed, and her partner, Vincent Roppolo of Glen Gardner, NJ; a twin brother, Donald, of Arlington, VA; and granddaughters:  Serafina and Abigail Roppolo.

            Services will be on Monday at 11 AM at the church, 9150 Spinnerstown Road, Spinnerstown.  Viewings will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday, and from 9:30-11 AM on Monday at the church. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg is in charge of arrangements.
