Joel William Bernhard, 60, of Pennsburg, passed away suddenly on

October 1, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Jane (Haas) Bernhard.  Born in Quakertown, he was a son of Faye (Schmoyer) Bernhard, of Perkiomenville, and the late William Bernhard. 

            Joel was an order puller for the Home Depot in Allentown.  Prior to that, he was a draftsman for the Boyertown Bodyworks.  Joel was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, where he was a past Consistory president in the 1990's and a choir member.

            Surviving with his wife and mother, are children: Eli, and his fiancée, Danielle Felix, of Perkiomenville; Sarah Bernhard, wife of Michael Maginniss, of Yardley; and Joshua, of Pennsburg; siblings: Susan, wife of Randy Lorish, of Perkiomenville; Ty Bernhard, of Drexel Hill; and Melissa, wife of Joseph Seasholtz, of Gilbertsville; and a granddaughter, Evelyn.

            Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Friday at Pennsburg UCC, 775 Main Street, Pennsburg.  A viewing will be from 10-11 AM at church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
