The body of missing Pennsburg physician Dr. Peter Cianfrani, 70, of Green Lane was found Wednesday morning in a wooded area off the Perkiomen Trail in Marlborough Township.

            Cianfrani was reported missing by his family at 8:19 p.m. on Tuesday night.  His vehicle was located later that night parked at the Crusher Road entrance to the Perkiomen Trail.  A search was conducted later that evening until around 2:30 a.m.  The search resumed around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Cianfrani's body was found at 10:38 a.m.

            According to a release from Marlborough Township Police, no foul play is suspected and the cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy by the Montgomery County Coroner.

            In addition to the Marlborough Police Department, assisting with the search effort were Green Lane, Red Hill, Lower Frederick, Upper Salford Fire Companies, Harleysville EMS, Lansdale VMSC K-9, Upper Perk, Lower Frederick, and Pennsylvania State Police, and Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch Services.
