Carolyn R. “Lynne” Day
2017-09-27

            Carolyn R. "Lynne" Day, 69, of Barto, passed away, Tuesday, September 19,

2017 at Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL. She was the wife of Michael P. Day. They would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on September 25th.

            Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Ruth C. (Schultz) Long. She was an LPN and medical coder for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital before retiring in 2016. She was a member of Macungie Church of the Nazarene. She was a board member of Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club.

            Carolyn was an avid reader and loved the beach. She bowled for over 34 years at Parkway Bowling Alley, Allentown.

            Survivors: husband; daughter Danielle wife of John Kates; two granddaughters, Myrisa and Kalyn. A daughter, Michele Shupp predeceased her in 2014.

            Services: 10:30 am Friday, September 29, 2017 at Trexler Funeral Home 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. A calling hour will begin at 9:30 am. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. www.trexlerfuneralhome.com.

            In lieu of flowers, a donation in Carolyn's memory may be made to American Heart Association 968 Postal Rd #110, Allentown, PA 18109.
