Francis J. Gray, Sr.
2017-09-25

            Francis J. "Frank" Gray, Sr., 54, of Mertztown, passed away, Thursday,

September 21, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Cathy E. (Schultz) Gray, celebrating 16 years of marriage in June.

            Born in Philadelphia, he was the son to the late Harry and Georgina (Lodek) Gray.

            Frank was currently working for Allan Myers in Worcester as a field manager.

            He was a member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club, Appalachian Bluegrass and Fiddle Association, the Fairlane Club of America and Reel Recovery Retreat.

            As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved driving his 1967 Ford Fairlane and gathering with friends at car shows and meeting new people.

            Surviving along with his wife, are his son, Francis J. Gray, Jr of Philadelphia; step-children, Gina Yeager of Philadelphia, Samantha Andre of Birdsboro, Nathan Hill of Hereford and Zachary Hill of Souderton; and grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Addison and Christian.

            A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 81 N. Main Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Charles E. Romanowski officiating.  Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 11 am at the church prior to the service. 

            Arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.  Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

            Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Main Campus, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
