Willard O. “Bill” Marshall Jr.
2017-09-18

            Willard O. "Bill" Marshall Jr, 87, of Hellertown and formerly of Pennsburg,

passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 15, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Ann (Long) Marshall. Born in Pleasantville, NJ, he was a son of the late Willard O. and Mabel (Kester) Marshall Sr.

            He served his country honorably in the NSA during the Korean War. He was a member of Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem. Bill worked in management for Agway in Syracuse, NY for 25 years before moving the Upper Perkiomen Valley and starting Marshall's Lawn & Garden Barn Inc. He operated that business until his retirement. During his time in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, Bill and Margaret founded "Life Long Learning" which is held at New Goshenhoppen Church.

            Survivors: Along with his beloved wife, Bill is survived by his children: Claudia, wife of Dr. Steve Muse of Columbus, GA, Dr. Susan, wife of Patrick Durkin of Spinnerstown, PA, Nancy, wife of Dr. Michael Gawlas of Mechanicsburg, PA, Willard O. III and his wife Donna of Pennsburg, PA, and Kim, wife of Douglas Hagan of West Point, VA; step children: Martyne, wife of Barry Stout of Park City, UT, Mary Lee, wife of Douglas Slemmer of Schwenksville, PA, Nancy, wife of Kerry Gingrich of Perkasie, PA, and Ted Clemmer and his wife Pamela of Doylestown, PA; twenty-seven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Carol, and siblings: Harry, Mabel, Viola, and Marilyn.

            Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, at Central Moravian Church, 73 W. Church St, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
