Gerald R. Mack
2017-09-12

            Gerald R. "Mackie" Mack, 69, of Green Lane, passed away Wednesday,

September 6, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Joan A. (Seasholtz) Mack, celebrating 48 years of marriage in March.

            Born in Quakertown, Pa he was a son to the late Paul E. and Kathryn B. (Godshall) Mack.

            Gerald was the current owner and operator of Mack and Sons Container Service in Pennsburg. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the East Greenville Fire Co. and Pennsburg Fire Co.

            He enjoyed auctions and antiques.

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Rodney R. Mack of East Greenville, R. Paul Mack of Green Lane and Royden P. Mack of Pennsburg; one grandson, Austin R. Mack; three brothers, Robert Mack of Green Lane, Richard Mack and wife, Carol of Coopersburg and Ralph Mack and wife, Penny of Pennsburg; and two sisters, Laura J. Gaugler of Pennsburg and Diane, wife of Jack Kline of East Greenville.

            A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Deborah Schwartz officiating. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 am to 12 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

            Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the East Greenville Fire Co, 401 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 and Frieden's United Church of Christ, PO Box 268, Sumneytown, PA 18084.
