Mia L. De Armin
2017-08-29

            Mia Lei De Armin, 47, of Hereford, passed away Wednesday, August 23,

2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of Chris L. Chabot with whom she just celebrated 5 years of marriage with this past June.

            Born in Johnstown, PA, she was a daughter of Diana (Watson) Potter, of Pottstown and the late John F. De Armin.

            Mia graduated in 1988 from Central Cambria High School and was furthering her education at Montgomery County Community College. She was employed for Amazon for two years in the receiving department then worked for Brown Printing as a forklift operator for 23 years and most recently was employed at IQOR in Bethlehem in the call center.

            She was a volunteer EMT for 12 years assisting Pottstown Goodwill Ambulance and Upper Perkiomen Ambulance. She also attended the Pocono EMS Conference every year.

            She loved learning about and collecting gems and stones, enjoyed history, movie nights with her boys and music, especially Pat Benatar.  She was known for her kindness and humbleness and will be missed by many.

            In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her two sons, Morgan D. De Armin of Emmaus and Christopher L. Stauffer of Hereford; brothers, John "Jay" De Armin and wife, Gale of Evansburg and Dean Potter, Jr. and wife, Krista of Pottstown; sisters, Leanne, wife of Jeff Jackson of Tacoma, WI and Georgia De Armin of Ok; and her two dogs, Sophie and Baxter.

            A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Green Lane Fire Company Social Hall, 214 Main St, Green Lane, PA 18054. Arrangements were entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
