Barbara A. Romeike
2017-08-21

Barbara A. Romeike of Lake Harmony, Pa. passed away in her home on Saturday, August 19th of natural causes.  She was the daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Weyand) Romeike.

Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and attended various management, corporate finance, and venture capital courses at Villanova University.

She worked for G.E. Missile & Space Division's Ballistic Missile Defense section as a secretary for the project manager.  Following that, she continued her career in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking for a NYSE firm, and then worked for PSFS in their mortgage division.  She gave up the city life for her beloved Lake Harmony where she worked for several resort restaurants up until her passing.  Her love for animals was never ending. Barbara was a member of the Perkiomen VFW Auxiliary in Red Hill and various animal rescue charities.

Surviving are her sisters, Jackie Fiorito of Upper Hanover Twp., Diane, wife of Wayne Stevens of Pennsburg, Cheryl Jones and her Fiancée Greg Zander of Lake Harmony, and Bonnie (nee Johnson) and Gary Burdick of Newtown Square; two nieces: Jamie (Jones) Dennis and Lisa (Fiorito) Hughes; and four nephews: Michael, Mark, Steve, and Eric Fiorito; a special great-Nephew Jayden; and a special canine nephew Oakley. She was pre-deceased by brother-in-laws: Edward Fiorito and Jeffrey Jones.

There will be no services, but a remembrance celebration of life will be held in Lake Harmony at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to "Tails of Valor Paws of Honor", P.O. Box 127, Coopersburg, PA  18036 or to "Lake Harmony Rescue Squad Ambulance Corp", PO Box 564, Lake Harmony, PA  18624.

To offer on-line condolences, please visit her "Book of Memories" at falkfuneralhomes.com.
