Heidi Charlene Kolb
2017-08-07

            Heidi Charlene Kolb, 51, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Blooming

Glen, PA went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan.

            She was the loving wife of Pastor Joel E. Kolb for 28 years. Heidi was born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to Samuel T. Miller and Eleanor (Anders) Miller.

            She graduated from Christopher Dock High School, class of 1984. Heidi graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Stonybrook, NY, class of 1990.

            She was a longtime employee of Miller Tire & Auto Company in Perkasie, PA. Heidi was also employed as an administrator for Hopewell Christian Fellowship in Telford, PA.

            She was a former member of Branch Fellowship in Harleysville where she was involved in leading worship, the drama team and completed the Center for Ministry Training internship program. Heidi was also a member of Hopewell Christian Fellowship where she served as an administrator, children's ministry director, junior youth group leader, VBS director and was part of the worship arts team. She and her husband provided pastoral care for several missionaries. 

            In 1993-1996, Heidi and her husband were missionaries under Elim Fellowship serving in Denmark. She traveled extensively with her husband throughout Northern Europe, India, Mexico, Haiti, & Belize. Heidi loved spending time with her family, music and playing the guitar. She enjoyed the simple things in life and even started a blog called "things that make me smile" [http://hckolb.wordpress.com]. Heidi enjoyed cooking, hospitality, and being around people.

            She loved to encourage others, was a very approachable person and was always willing to talk to others. Heidi was a very caring and compassionate lady who had a sweet personality. She was known for always having a warm and pleasant smile. Heidi will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

            In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Annette G. Kolb of Sellersville, PA, Elisabeth J. Kolb. of Sellersville, PA; two sons, Martin E. Kolb of Sellersville, PA, Jonas E. Kolb of Sellersville, PA; two sisters, Linda J. Miller & husband, Ken Redles of Coopersburg, PA, Janice R. Zuck & husband, Raymond of Quakertown, PA; two brothers, Preston H. Miller & wife, Patsy of Perkasie, PA, Steven Miller & wife, Lynn of Perkasie, PA and a father-in-law, Daniel E. Kolb & wife, Gladys Stutzman of Spring City, PA.

            Visitations will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, Pennsylvania 18969 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, Pennsylvania 18969 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

            A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, Pennsylvania 18969.

            A private inurnment will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Columbarium.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Heidi's memory to: Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, PA 18969. All contributions will go to construct a new playground at the church.
