Thelma E. Breyer
2017-07-09

            Thelma E. (Carmean) Breyer, 91, widow of Philip F. Breyer, of Red

Hill, passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Grand View Hospital.

            Born in Eden, MD, she was a daughter of the late Homer S. and Bettie V. (Townson) Carmean.

            Thelma worked as a waitress at Ernie's in Green Lane for many years. She also worked at Keystone Transformer for eight years.

            She was an avid bingo player and loved the casinos. She also enjoyed baking and cooking.

            She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann, widow of Robert Kline of Mertztown, Mary Jane, wife of Ronald Asplen of Barto, Jacob T. and wife, Joan of Kutztown, Frederick S. and wife, Debbie of Hereford, Patricia M., wife of Todd Rogers of Barto, Donald F. and wife, Anita of Red Hill and Wayne J. and companion, Donna of Barto; 23 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren;  brothers, Homer Riley Carmean  and Jimmie Lee Carmean both of Maye Landing NJ; and sisters, Doris Merritt of Cape Charles, Virginia and Vera Mae Diaz of Salisbury, MD.

            In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis E. Moyer; a granddaughter, Brenda Ann Breyer; a sister, Susie Taylor and brother, Albert Carmean.

            A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Barry Moyer officiating. Burial follows in Frieden's Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com. 

            Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Upper Perkiomen Manor 107 E 5th St, Red Hill, PA 18076.
