Shirley M. Cleary
2017-06-20

      Shirley M. (Steinman) Cleary, 86, formerly of Bally, passed away Thursday,

June 15, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.  She was the widow of Gerald A. Cleary with whom she married on her 18th birthday and celebrated 68 years of marriage together on January 15, 2017.

      Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter to the late Ralph and Viola (Merkel) Steinman-Weller.

      Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and dedicated her life to raising her family.

      She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

      Surviving are three children, Judith A. Virus of Pennsburg, Jeffrey G. Cleary of Bally and Jill M. Cleary of Bechtelsville; three grandchildren, Jessica Imburgia, Jaclynn Matusiewicz and Jacob Cleary and four great grandchildren, Isabella, Makayla, Lincoln and Griffin.  Along with her parents, she is predeceased by three brothers, James, Harold and Donald Steinman and three sisters, Anna Haller, Ida Benner and Edna Thompson.

      A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally PA 19503 with the Rev. Fr. Adam Sedar officiating.  Burial follows in the church cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday in church.

      Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.  Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com. 

      Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to BAYADA Hospice, 100 Schaeffer St Ste 4, Boyertown, PA 19512.
