Jennifer L. Thorpe
2017-06-19

      Jennifer L. Thorpe, 47, of Frederick, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017

at home surrounded by family.

      Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter to Charles "Jack" Thorpe of Clearwater, FL and the late Rosemarie (Jackson) Allem.  

      Jennifer worked at the former Harleysville National Bank for many years and took part in the event staff at Pennhurst Asylum for two seasons.  She was a member of the Pennhurst Paranormal for the past year.

      She enjoyed photography, hiking, bird watching, urban exploring, and writing. She wrote a book called Crooked Tales Collection of Short Stories.

      Surviving are, her two daughters, Nicole E., wife of Michael Slifer of Pennsburg and Megan R. Thorpe of Frederick; four grandchildren, Brooklynn, Makenna, Karleigh, Hunter and one on the way; two brothers and three sisters.

      In addition to her mother, she is predeceased by one brother.

      At Jennifer's request, her body will be donated to Jefferson Medical College for the advancement of science.

      Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA  18041.
