Charleen A. Treffinger
2017-06-13

            Charleen A. Treffinger, 85, of Green Lane and formerly of Palm,

passed away peacefully on June 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late Richard Treffinger who passed in 2011. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Minnie (Moyer) Reiss.

            She was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church. Charleen served as the Secretary Treasurer for Upper Hanover Township for 15 years. Following her retirement, she was the Office Manager at Falk Funeral Home in Pennsburg for several years.

            Charleen was a member of American Legion Post 184 Ladies Auxilliary in Palm. She was also a member of the Open Link Senior Center and volunteered at the Community Thrift Shop and the former YFS.

            She is survived by a son, Craig of Green Lane, a daughter Carol, wife of Vernon J. Garver Jr. of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amanda, Morgan, Jay, Harry, and Rylan; great grandchildren, Layla, Trinity, Skilar, Xavier, and Bella Rose; and siblings: Donald Reiss, of Macungie and Jean Bednar of Emmaus. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Willard, Norman, and Jonathan.

            Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 16, at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070. All are invited to a viewing there from 10 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

            The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, has been entrusted with her care.
