Gladys Y. Williams
2017-06-09

            Gladys Yvonne Williams, 91, of Pennsburg and formerly of Hereford, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017. She was the wife of the late Robert Williams.  Born in Williamstown, she was a daughter of the late J. Roy and Annie (Warfield) Host.

            She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, She was also a member and past president of the East Greenville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

            She loved her children, adored her grandchildren and great granddaughters. They were her pride and Joy. Raising five boys, she knew when to be tough, when to be kind, when and how to discipline, she taught her boys well. Her friends know her as someone who would give them the shirt off her back. She was loyal and fully supportive of all her friends. She loved her cats, loved to watch people on her swing, and loved talking to friends and strangers alike.

            Gladys is survived by her sons: Clyde J. Behney of Arlington, VA, J. Douglas Behney of Hackensack, NJ, Robert D. Williams Jr. of Hereford, David Williams of St. Paul, MN; six grandchildren: Amanda (Dirk), Lindsay, Fletcher, Brett, and Taylor; and three great grandchildren: Imani, Amiyah, and Willow. She was predeceased by a grandson that she raised as a son, Robert III, and granddaughter Courtney, grandsons Doug and Craig, and a brother, Jack.

            She will be interred in a private service in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg. Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pennsburg is in charge of arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Animals In Distress, P.O. Box 609, 5075 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg, PA 18036.
