Rodman J. Leister
2017-06-09

            Rodman J. Leister, 85, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017. He was the husband of the late Georgianna (Summersgill) Leister. Born in New Berlinville, he was a son of the late Ammon and Alice (Youse) Leister.

            Rodman was a bricklayer for 50 years.  He was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.  He was also a member of the Keystone Fire Co, where he held several offices over the years; and also a member of the Bechtelsvlle, East Greenville, and Red Hill Fire Companies.

            Surviving are children: Dennis, and his wife Donnette, of Lyons; Thomas, and his wife Cheryl, of Bally; Keith and his wife, Dawn, of Cary NC; Alice, wife of Gary Hager, of Pennsburg, and a step-daughter, Mary Richard, of Hereford; siblings: Charles of Galeton, Barry of New Hope, Kerry, of Gilbertsville; Dallas, of Earlville; Daniel, of Sewickley; Nancy Kulp and Dorothy Nuss, both of Bechtelsville; Vivian Kulp, of Frederick, Pauline Benfield of Delaware, and Betty Sweeney of Boyertown; 9 grandchildren (Kristi, Angela, Kyle, Quinn, Corey, Brett, Ryan, Joshua, and Nicholas); and 4 great-grandchildren (Rebecca, Meredith, Addison, and Avery).  He was pre-deceased by brothers, Paul and Carl.

            Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg.  A viewing will be from 9-11 a.m.  Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill.
