Sally J. Hein
2017-05-22

      Sally J. (Bittenbender) Hein, 70, of Pennsburg, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Lou D. Hein, celebrating 50 years of marriage last October.

      Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. Bittenbender and Virginia (Brensinger) and her step-mother, Helen (Vargo) Bittenbender.

      Sally was a 1964 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and worked for Allen Organ for many years.

      She was a member of the Upper Perk Band Boosters for four years and volunteered at Hereford Elementary School for 10 years. She was also part of the "Saturday Nighters" bowling league that she and her husband participated in for 25 years. She was a member of Huff's Union Church.

      She enjoyed traveling with her husband, painting ceramics and snowmobiling.

      In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Scot P.A. Hein of Pennsburg and Nicole E., wife of Jeff Kuestner of East Greenville; two grandchildren, Alissa and Mason; and siblings, David Bittenbender and wife, Mabel of Topton and Tana Saeger of Palm.

      A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA  18041 with Rev. Jane Kropa officiating. Burial follows in Huff's Union Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
