Univest Foundation Appoints David Alderfer to Board

            Univest Foundation announced the appointment of David Alderfer to its Board of Directors which is responsible for providing strategic direction to grow the Foundation and its ability to partner donors

and charitable organizations for the benefit of local communities.

            Alderfer has served as director of development for the Grand View Health Foundation for more than 20 years. His expertise as a Certified Fund Raising Executive and active involvement in the Association of Fundraising Professionals make him a valuable addition to the Univest Foundation Board. Other members include Kevin B. Norris, chairman, William F. Van Sant, executive director, Tobias Bruhn, Linda Felt and Margaret K. Zook.

            Through various options including Charitable Endowments, Charitable Gift Funds, Charitable Remainder and Lead Trusts, and Family Foundations, Univest Foundation works with donors so they can reach their highest giving potential, take advantage of immediate tax benefitsand maintain control of their charitable wishes. For nonprofits, Univest

            Foundation assists in receiving donor donations as well as educating them on the benefits foundations provide to nonprofit organizations. The Foundation, which can accept gifts of cash, securities, real estate, closely held business stock and IRAs, also provides a variety of resources to maximize potential for both the donor contributing to the Foundation and the non-profit receiving the gift.
