Maria (Serrano) Aponte, 74, of Philadelphia passed away on
Thursday, April 20, 2017 in St. Lukes Hospital in Quakertown, PA.

Mrs. Aponte was a hard working woman with a great sense of humor. She was an excellent cook. Her specialty dish was pork. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and Spanish soap operas. Family, though, was her number one priority. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Edelme "Dolly" Hagen of Quakertown; one grandson, Angel, and his wife Victoria; two great grandchildren: Aaliyah and Elijah; two sisters: Rosa Seville and her husband F. Robert, of Pennsburg, Carmen Coxhead and her husband Robert E. of Lansdale; two brothers: Angel Serrano and his wife Auria, of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and Carlos Serrano of Philadelphia; and two dogs: Sadie and Foxy.
In addition to her parents, Maria is predeceased by four brothers: Steven Serrano, Pedro Serrano, Frankie Serrano, and Alberto Serrano.
Memorial Services and Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The family asks that you continue to pray in memory of Maria, for it was Maria's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Bucks County SPCA, 60 Reservoir Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951.
