Nancy H. Swenk
2017-04-20

            Nancy H. (Bender) Swenk, 75, of Pennsburg, passed away Wednesday,

April 19, 2017 at Pennsburg Manor.

            Born in Upper Hanover Township, she was a daughter to the late Leonard Bender and Alma (Werley) Levy.

            She was a 1959 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ in East Greenville, PA.

            She is survived by her children, Todd M. Swenk and wife, Amanda Jo of Green Lane, Jon R. Swenk and wife, Melissa of Bechtelsville, Jana R., wife of Donald Ellixson of Boyertown and Michael S. Swenk of Green Lane; eight grandchildren, Michaela, Asia, Macauley, Dylan, Tristan, Benjamin, Charlie and Piper; four brothers, Curtis Schellhamer and wife, Beverly, Larry "Butch" Bender, Lamont Bender and wife, Donna and Bryan Levy and wife, Carla.

            In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Barton W. Swenk; a sister, Jean Bandel and a brother, Sterling "Skeeter" Schellhamer.

            A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.  Burial follows in New Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery, East Greenville.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
