William Robert Righter
2017-04-18

            William Robert Righter, 81, of Palm, passed away April 14, 2017. 

He was the husband of the late Mildred (Galloway) and Catherine E. (Bondi) Righter.

            "Bob" was a graduate of Pierce Business College and was employed as a civilian purchasing agent for several military contractors before retiring.  He served honorably in the Army Reserves.  Recently, Bob has attended Morning Star Fellowship in Bechtelsville.

            He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was an avid gardener, and especially enjoyed tending his roses.  He was a woodworker and an excellent cook and baker, especially pies and cakes.  He enjoyed watching National Geographic programs and was an avid animal lover, especially German Shepherds.

            Surviving are children:  Kenneth, and his wife, Stephanie, of Barto; Joanne O'Rourke, of Lansdale; Catherine Righter, of Palm; Thomas, and his wife, Jami, of Green Lane; and Marybeth, wife of Douglas Jordan, of Pittstown, NJ; a brother, Carl, of Utah, 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was pre-deceased by brothers: George and Paul; and his beloved dog, Heidi.

            A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, April 25th at 11 a.m.at the Morning Star Fellowship, 100 Limekiln Road, Bechtelsville, PA.  Friends may gather from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

            In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA  18074.
