Henry James Lachman, Jr.
2017-03-28

            Funeral services for Henry James Lachman, Jr. will be held at

10 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5011 Jackson Street, Alexandria, Louisiana 71303 with Reverend Eric Johnson officiating. 

            Committal service will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

            Henry, 85, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Riverside Hospital in Alexandria.  He was born March 1, 1932 in East Greenville, Pennsylvania to the union of Henry James Lachman and  Florence Renninger Lachman. 

            Henry served his country in the United States Navy with pride.  He was a Baptist by Faith and member of the Calvary Baptist Church.  Before retiring, Henry worked as a building contractor.  He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

            He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Betty Lou Johnson Lachman.

            Those left behind to cherish his memory are: one son, Thomas Cecil (Rhonda Bryant) Lachman of Redding, Connecticut; one daughter, Marsha Lynn (Paul III) Griffin of Westlake Village, California; four grandchildren, Paul Erin Griffin IV, Aurora Catherine Griffin, Thomas Christian Lachman, and Gabrielle Bryant Lachman; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

            Pallbearers to serve will be Kim Faught, Chuck Johnson, Larry Johnson, Lamar Johnson, Tim Johnson, and Jerry Stallings.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jarrad Johnson, Scott Aldridge, John Haas Campbell, and Howard Suire.

            Visitation will be held in the Chapel of White Oaks, 6324 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, Louisiana 71301 on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., then on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
